The sterilizers comply with CEI EN 61010-1 and CEI EN 61010-2-041 safety standards.
The door opening systems and pressurized vessels are also in compliance with the safety regulation foreseen in Directive 97/23/EC.
The safety devices provided on the machines as standard components include:

chamber safety pressure switch that prevents the doors being opened

control panel interlock for door-opening consent with pressure or vacuum conditions

safety interlock in the door closing system that blocks the sterilization cycle
starting-up and steam injection if the door is open
control panel safety interlock for opening the door on the unloading side in case
of interrupted or failed cycles
control panel safety interlock for simultaneous opening consent for both doors
on a pass-through sterilizer
device for safe opening of doors in case of breakdown or blocking
locking of the programmes and general parameters menu by multilevel password system
mushroom-shaped emergency push-button to shut down the sterilizer
(as per European standards)
switch for disconnecting from the electrical panel before opening
set of thermomagnetic switches and fuses to protect the electrical components
of the sterilizer and prevent short circuits and overheating
