The new FOB4-TS range of horizontal steam sterilizers has been developted thanks to Fedegari’s experience and constant attention in seeking out the best possible solutions from the point of view of quality, functional efficiency and unique results.

This new series of cabinet-type horizontal steam sterilizers has been designed and produced to provide the same excellent performance characteristics and versatile use as the FOB-TS tabletop range, with always very limited dimensions and superior load capacity and productivity both in laboratory contexts and for  small specialised production units.

The FOB4-TS sterilizers, with their compact structure and easy installation, can thus be used in microbiological analysis and control laboratories, research institutes and universities, biotechnologies and life sciences, small-scale production lines and QA laboratories in pharmaceutical and food industries, animal house and veterinary centres, hospitals and medical structures where safe and reliable sterilisation processes are an indispensable requirement.

Their new and original design, use of high-quality components and absolute reliability give these sterilizers a higher standing than others present in this important market segment.

The new PLC process controller assures easy and extremely user-friendly communication  which does not require any specific knowledge of information technology as man-machine interfacing is through a large graphic panel consisting of a colour touch-screen. The software is fully validated and can thus meet the requirements of the most demanding users.


FOB4-TS sterilizers for floor standing are currently available in 2 versions:

 FOB4-TS single door with 150 lt load capacity
 FOB4S-TS double door with 210 lt useful load capacity

The FOB4S-TS double door version is also available with a bioseal type sealing flange on unloading side 2 as a standard fitting and as an optional fitting on loading side 1, or on both loading/unloading sides with the double sealing flange for special applications for laboratories in safety level 3 or higher and for the treatment of infected products with a high risk of microbiological contamination.

Compact and ergonomic design
The design of the new FOB4-TS sterilizers has received particular attention from the esthetic and functional point of view, and combines high ergonomic efficiency with compact execution thanks to its extremely convenient loading height, very compact external dimensions and optimized positioning of the operator panel and integrated printer. These characteristics make it suitable for installation even in locations where the space available is very limited, such as laboratories and hospital facilities.

High performance and highly versatile processing
These sterilisers are able to perform effective, safe, reliable and reproducible sterilisation processes, comparable in every way to those normally used for pharmaceutical level sterilizers. The extremely wide range of standard and special options and various loading accessories available also enable a considerable degree of versatility in both processes and applications.

Automatic operation
The exclusive automatic door opening / closing system and all the sterilizer functions are managed by a powerful and versatile process controller (PLC) that is easy to programme and equipped with a large touch-screen operator panel which displays all the operating data, programmes, cycle diagrams, alarms and auxiliary messages. Innovative solutions have also been adopted that enable considerable savings in water and power consumption.

Modularity and flexible configuration
The sterilizer has been designed implementing the concept of modularity to facilitate its personalization on the basis of the specific requirements of each user and to guarantee the long technological lifetime of the product.

Safe and reliable operation
The functional safety and operational reliability of the sterilizer are guaranteed by PED Certification (with TV testing) of the pressure vessels, CE marking and by the original process software which, like the industrial apparatus, has been fully validated by the manufacturer with the PLC programming software produced in conformity with IEC1131-3 standards. All the structural and installational components are built and/or tested by Fedegari to guarantee total quality control.
